What is C3?
C3 stands for Community of Content Creators. The name was adopted in the early research stages of the Integrated Marketing and Strategic Communication (IMSC) initiative. The IMSC committee conducted focus groups and surveys with staff and faculty who produce communication for their unit, and the resulting list of content creators was seen as a great resource for creating a community in support of university communication objectives.
Who belongs to C3?
Many people across campus share marketing and communication (marcom) responsibilities. C3 is comprised of everyone from faculty and staff to graduate assistants. Anyone who directs, writes, designs, develops or produces marcom may belong.
What exactly constitutes “marketing and communication (marcom)?”
Marcom encompasses all kinds of communication pieces — brochures, pamphlets, flyers, posters, websites, emails, newsletters, social media, viewbooks, videos, presentations — pretty much any type of communication that targets either the campus or external community to promote UNCG.
What is the purpose of C3?
The primary purpose of C3 is to bring the communication community together to share best practices, experiences and resources, as well as review updates and new tools added to the IMSC Brand Guide. The success of IMSC is contingent upon the campus community engaging — as well as teaching and learning — with and from each other. C3 will be there to help you and guide you. Think of it as a think tank for IMSC.
