What types of events are displayed in the UNCG Public Events Calendar?

Events that are open to the general public as well as the campus community.

How do I get my an event added to the UNCG Public Events Calendar?

Steps to getting your event on the Public Calendar:

  1. Create an iSpartan Google calendar specific for your department, program or unit events and make that calendar public in Google.
  2. Place your event that calendar.
  3. Then invite “calendar@uncg.edu” to your event. Important: make sure that the boxes for “Guests can ‘invite others’ and ‘see guest list’” are checked in the event invitation.
  4. This process invites the UNCG Public Events Calendar to your event. Once your event invitation has been reviewed, and the event meets requirements for the UNCG Public Events Calendar, the event invitation will be accepted and then added to one of the Event Categories on the Public Calendar. Your event will then appear on the UNCG Public Events Calendar website.

What is the approval process for events to be added to the UNCG Public Events Calendar?

Once an event has been invited to the UNCG Public Events Calendar, the event will be reviewed to make sure the information provided is complete and accurate. If the event actually does fall under the guidelines of a public event, it will be posted to the Public Events calendar.
