Campus RSS Feeds
What is a RSS feed?
WhatisRSS.com states that RSS stands for Rich Site Summary, yet it can also stand for Really Simple Syndication. RSS is a format for delivering regularly changing web content and is used by many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers. RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web because it allows you to retrieve the latest content from the sites that interest you, eliminating the need to visit each site individually. To find out more about RSS feeds, you can go to the WhatIsRSS.com site or the RSS feed wikipedia page.
How are RSS feeds created?
RSS feeds are created in a number of ways, some complicated and some a little less complicated. If your blog or website does not automatically render an RSS feed then you could try any of the following:
- Feedburner (Google’s feedburner support site also has a great section with a real simple overview of RSS feeds)
