Paul Katam, Paul Chelimo, Michael Koech and Abraham Kemboi all are from Kenya, on scholarships at UNCG, living their dreams of becoming health care professionals in their homeland.

Softball, international style

Aisha Figueroa competed at the Pan Am Games in Mexico last summer.

Ashley Schnell's time at the SoCon Women's Cross Country Championship was the fastest in SoCon championship history.

Men's soccer's Hakan Ilhan, named to the NSCAA All-South third team, tied in SoCon for highest number of game-winning goals.

Trevor Edwards, team leader in home runs and RBIs last year, was named to the SoCon preseason All-Conference first-team.

In October, women's golf edged Maryland for its first tourney win in three years. They set a new school record for lowest 54-hole team score.
