University Relations Photography

The University Relations Photography Department captures the images that tell the UNCG story. Specializing in editorial and documentary style photography that sets the standard for the university integrated marketing and strategic communication plan, our work supports a wide variety of UNCG publications, multimedia and online communications.

UNCG Images

The UNCG Image Collection is available to support all university communication and marketing. Search and download current UNCG photographs organized in useful keyword categories such as Campus Scenes, Students, Research and Athletics. For a larger list of frequently used keywords, see our Keyword Reference Sheet.

Please note: The Keyword Reference Sheet requires the Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, which can be downloaded from the Adobe web site.

Image Research

Are you looking for a specific image and unable to find it in the UNCG Image Collection? If you prefer, you may place a request with our photo librarian who will search the University Relations photography archives.

Images will be made available for download for up to one month. Contact Becky Kates for more information.

Historical Images and University Archives

University Relations’ photography archives date back to approximately 2002. For photographs taken prior to 2002, please contact University Archives and Manuscripts.

Headshots

University Relations photography department provides headshots to faculty, staff and students.  The headshot session will provide standard studio lighting and a tasteful gray background. Headshots are taken in the UNCG Photography Studio at 1100 West Market Street (Suite 201).  Photographers select the best photograph and email it directly to you. We also keep your photograph in our archive for university use such as press releases.

Headshot appointments are available on Wednesdays. You can select the specific date and time slot that suits your needs. Please keep in mind, from time to time, sessions may be canceled due to scheduling conflicts or illness. If a session is canceled, we will contact you to set up an alternate date.

To take advantage of this service, please fill out the online headshot request form.
