Freakonomics blog: Snowden looks back to the 1930s to understand current housing crisis
Ken Snowden, economics professor in the Bryan School of Business and Economics, co-wrote an article recently for the well-known Freakonomics blog. Snowden and his co-author, Price Fishback of the University of Arizona, discuss the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation, which bought and refinanced a million severely delinquent loans between 1933 and 1936. Snowden, Fishback and fellow economist Jonathan Rose have also written a book which will be published soon.
