Wixson interviewed by Triad Business Journal
Karen Wixson, dean of UNCG’s School of Education, was interviewed for a Triad Business Journal story about the economy’s impact on student enrollments at area universities. The latest system-wide figures showing across-the-board declines in education students at all levels do not signal a loss of interest in the career path as much as it reflects higher admission requirements and reduced capacity because of the budget, Wixson told the Business Journal. She said application rates have stayed relatively steady. Subscriptions are required for full access to Buisness Journal stories.
